3Bumi Expands Global Reach with RM6 Million MoU & Launch of HALAL ORIENTAL in London

London, United Kingdom – In a bold step towards expanding Malaysia’s footprint in the global halal market, 3Bumi Trading Sdn Bhd celebrated two major milestones in the United Kingdom: the signing of a RM6 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK-based distributor Ronuson LTD at the International Food & Drink Expo (IFE) 2025, and the successful launch of HALAL ORIENTAL (H.O.), a dedicated retail outlet at Queensway Market, operated by UK-based partner Jack Nathan Limited (JNL), an affiliated company aligned with 3Bumi’s international growth strategy.

These achievements underscore 3Bumi’s commitment to building strategic international alliances and creating a gateway for Malaysian halal-certified products to reach broader markets, particularly across the UK and Europe.

Signing of RM6 Million MoU with Ronuson LTD at IFE 2025

Held in London, the International Food & Drink Expo (IFE) is one of Europe’s largest and most prestigious trade shows for food and beverage professionals. The event attracts distributors, retailers, and suppliers from across the globe — making it the perfect stage for 3Bumi’s latest strategic move.

At the expo, 3Bumi sealed a RM6 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ronuson LTD, a UK-based distributor with a strong retail and wholesale network. This agreement is focused on expanding the reach of Malaysian halal products into the UK market, enabling more consumers in Europe to access the quality and authenticity of Malaysian-made goods.

More than just a business deal, this MoU represents a shared vision to empower Malaysian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping them scale internationally by providing the infrastructure, logistics, and retail access required to thrive in foreign markets.

It also demonstrates growing interest and trust in Malaysian halal certification — known globally for its stringent standards and ethical practices — making our products highly competitive and attractive on the world stage.

HALAL ORIENTAL (H.O.): Bringing Malaysian Flavours to Queensway Market

While 3Bumi was making waves at the expo, another exciting development was unfolding nearby in London. Jack Nathan Limited (JNL), a sister company of 3Bumi, opened its first physical retail outlet — HALAL ORIENTAL (H.O.) — at the bustling Queensway Market.

The launch of H.O. was a proud moment, officiated by the Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, and witnessed by prominent representatives from the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) through their European office in The Hague.

Located in a busy multicultural district, HALAL ORIENTAL is strategically positioned to serve a diverse customer base with a taste for authentic halal products. The outlet features a curated selection of Malaysian goods — from snacks and condiments to drinks and everyday essentials — each one halal-certified, high-quality, and made in Malaysia.

The opening of H.O. marks a new chapter in Malaysian retail export, turning the spotlight on consumer-ready halal products and creating direct access to the end-user in the UK.

🇲🇾 Joint Effort for Global Halal Visibility

These two significant milestones — the MoU signing at IFE 2025 and the launch of HALAL ORIENTAL (H.O.) — were the result of a well-coordinated collaboration between 3Bumi Trading, FAMA, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS). Their collective commitment underscores Malaysia’s proactive strategy to strengthen halal exports and enhance visibility in key global markets.

A special note of appreciation goes to the Agricultural Representative Office in The Hague, whose pivotal role in coordinating efforts and promoting Malaysia’s agricultural interests across Europe has been instrumental. Their support helped elevate the presence of Malaysian brands at prestigious international platforms like IFE 2025

The HALAL ORIENTAL (H.O.) initiative was driven exclusively by 3Bumi and FAMA, with the full backing of MAFS, showcasing a focused and unified effort to bring premium Malaysian halal products closer to European consumers.

Why the UK? A Gateway to Europe

The UK, with its growing Muslim population and increasing demand for ethically sourced, halal-certified goods, presents a golden opportunity for Malaysian exporters. With a well-developed retail infrastructure, an open consumer market, and close proximity to continental Europe, the UK acts as a strategic launchpad for brands aiming to enter wider European markets.

The HALAL ORIENTAL outlet provides a valuable retail touchpoint in this ecosystem, while the Ronuson partnership enhances distribution capabilities across the region. Together, they offer a full-circle model for Malaysian SMEs — from shipment to shelf.

Aligning with Global Halal Growth

According to the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030, the global halal economy is expected to reach a staggering USD 5 trillion by the end of the decade. With an estimated 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide (Source : Wikipedia), the demand for trusted halal products — especially from established exporters like Malaysia — continues to rise.

Malaysia is well-positioned to become a global halal hub thanks to:

  • Its robust certification system
  • Strong government and agency support
  • A network of export-ready SMEs
  • A reputation for product quality and authenticity

At 3Bumi, we are proud to contribute to this national vision by facilitating product flow from Malaysia to markets abroad.

What’s Next for 3Bumi?

As we build on this momentum, 3Bumi is focused on:

✅ Strengthening export logistics and infrastructure
✅ Expanding our retail presence across Europe
✅ Supporting more Malaysian SMEs to scale internationally
✅ Building long-term partnerships with global distributors and retailers
✅ Tracking consumer trends in halal food, beverages, and lifestyle products

We believe in collaboration, innovation, and consistency — and we’re excited about what’s coming next.
